John W. Myers was born in Wales in the mid 1870’s. Myers was the foremost baritone ballad singer of his era as well as a successful theatrical manager.
Among his 32 top ten recordings are the #1 hits ‘Two Little Girls in Blue’ (1893), ‘The Sidewalks of New York’ (1895), ‘Just Tell Them That You Saw Me’ (1895), ‘In the Shade of the Palm’ (1901), ‘On a Sunday Afternoon’ (1902) and ‘Way Down in Old Indiana’ (1902).
J.W. died in 1919 in his early 50’s.
